Godfather Of Harlem Canceled, Two-Hour Sequence Finale Ordered In Lieu Of Season 5





Forest Whitaker’s reign as “Godfather of Harlem” is coming to an finish: MGM+ has opted to wrap the crime drama with a two-hour sequence finale in lieu of a fifth season.

The official logline reads: “Bumpy Johnson faces the last word reckoning because the partitions shut in round his empire. With enemies converging from each route — political, prison, and private — Bumpy should draw on each alliance, each sacrifice, and each exhausting lesson earned throughout 5 seasons to guard what he has constructed and the folks he loves. The 2-hour conclusion delivers the end result of Bumpy’s extraordinary saga: a person who rose from the streets of Harlem to reshape the ability buildings of a complete period, and who now should resolve what legacy he leaves behind.”

Whitaker will return for the sequence finale alongside Ilfenesh Hadera (Mayme Thatcher Johnson), Antoinette Crowe-Legacy (Elise Johnson), Erik LaRay Harvey (Del Likelihood), and Rome Flynn (Frank Lucas).

Manufacturing begins in July. A premiere date will likely be introduced later.
