Legendary Actress Diane Keaton’s Explanation for Dying Revealed

Diane Keaton’s reason behind demise has been revealed — the legendary actress handed away from pneumonia.

Diane’s household revealed the reason for demise in a press release to PEOPLE, saying … “The Keaton household are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of affection and assist they’ve obtained these previous few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who handed away from pneumonia on October 11.”

The household added … “She beloved her animals and he or she was steadfast in her assist of the unhoused neighborhood, so any donations in her reminiscence to an area meals financial institution or an animal shelter can be an exquisite and far appreciated tribute to her.”

Diane died October 11 … and as TMZ first reported, the L.A. Hearth Dept. paramedics responded to her dwelling round 8:08 AM Saturday, transporting one individual — confirmed by sources as Keaton — to a close-by hospital.

Dispatch audio caught responders calling a “individual down” at her tackle.

The icon is survived by her adopted kids — 25-year-old son, Duke, and 29-year-old daughter, Dexter.

She was 79.
